Police raid "Fagin gangs" of traffickers

Police raids on gangs trafficking Romanian children to become pickpockets in the West End. Sounds like a tabloid editor's dream. The court case should be worth waiting for. Possibly the most interesting thing to happen to Slough since John Betjeman wrote a poem about it.

Bears out my argument in "Human Cargo", that a general European labour shortage will affect illicit business as well as licit business.

But 28th January, BBC carries a slightly different story saying children reunited with parents...http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/berkshire/7212770.stm
So does that mean they werent being trafficked or does it mean something else? It was a good story, but was it true?

Further BBC website story: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7209295.stm

Rather suggests that the children taken into care were actually in the country with their parents, so werent trafficked at all...Unless the whole family had been trafficked! But the reporter doesnt abandon the original allegations.
